Bertec Corporation announces that they are in the process of designing and deploying products that feature life-like 3D model renderings of human body with real-time force vectors and load calculations, placed in an immersive environment with and without the use of a heads-up display. Using 3D body models combined with both skeletal and muscular models, Bertec Corporation will be able to show real-time computed loads on the human body. Computations will be done using optimization techniques employing mathematical and geometrical models of human anthropometric data rather than using look-up tables. Computed loads and muscle forces will be displayed. The systems will use Bertec's industry-leading strain gaged transducers, load cells, and fully instrumented treadmills integrated with six or more degrees of freedom motion platforms or systems. Future products will also include the ability to capture real-time motion video that will integrate with the 3D models, allowing for complete body movement and articulation.
